Sectors

We Don't Serve Every Industry. We Master the Ones That Matter Most.

Qualitech focuses exclusively on large-scale, capital-intensive industries where quality failures do not just cost money. They threaten public safety, environmental integrity, regulatory standing, and long-term asset performance. Our engineering team brings direct field experience across five sectors, with deep, proven expertise on the project types where it counts most.

Five Sectors. One Standard.

Where Complexity and Risk Converge

Each sector presents a distinct quality challenge, different codes, different risks, different stakeholders. What does not change is the standard we apply and the rigor we bring to every engagement.

Sector 01

Energy

From megawatt thermal plants to nuclear facilities, from solar arrays to wind farms. Where power meets public accountability.

Energy infrastructure operates under some of the most demanding quality and regulatory requirements in capital construction. High-pressure systems, exotic alloy welding (P11, P22, P91, Inconel), multi-phase commissioning sequences, seismic design requirements, and overlapping jurisdictional oversight create an environment where quality fragmentation is not just expensive. On a nuclear site it is unacceptable. On a thermal plant it delays commercial operation. On a solar or wind farm it undermines investor returns and grid reliability.

Our value: Quality architectures engineered specifically for power generation, covering chromium alloy welding protocols, ASME pressure code compliance, NDE program governance, hydrostatic testing quality control, mechanical completion coordination, and turnover documentation that satisfies both operators and regulators.

Project Types We Serve
Thermal Power Plants Nuclear Power Plants Hydroelectric Plants Solar Farms (Utility-Scale PV) Wind Farms (Onshore & Offshore) Battery Energy Storage Systems Transmission & Substation Projects Biomass & Cogeneration Plants
Reference project: Pecem Thermal Power Plant ($2-3B, Brazil). 4-year QA/QC program covering boilers, pressure vessels, BOP piping, turbine lines, chromium alloy welding, and complete data book manufacturing.

Sector 02

Petrochemical

Multi-discipline facilities where process safety, regulatory compliance, and asset integrity converge. And quality failures become safety incidents.

Petrochemical construction brings together welding, piping, structural, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines inside high-consequence operating environments. Pressure vessels, storage tanks, heat exchangers, H2S service piping, and reactor systems demand rigorous material traceability, PWHT verification, NDE program governance, and hydrostatic testing control. Quality fragmentation here is not a documentation risk. It is a safety, environmental, and operational risk that extends across the entire life of the asset.

Our value: Integrated quality architectures that govern all disciplines under a single, coherent system. Unified ITPs, consistent inspection standards, coordinated approval workflows, and centralized documentation that gives project leadership a complete picture of quality performance across welding, piping, structural, and mechanical scope simultaneously.

Project Types We Serve
Oil Refineries (Greenfield & Expansion) Pulp & Paper Mills Chemical Process Plants Fertilizer Manufacturing Facilities Polymer & Resin Plants Storage Tank Farms & Terminals Heat Exchanger & Pressure Vessel Shops Turnaround & Revamp Projects
Reference project: Petrobras Oil Refinery Expansion ($5-10B, Brazil). QA/QC for pressure vessels, tanks, heat exchangers, H2S service piping, including specialized welding inspection, PWHT, NDT verification, and complete data book assembly.

Sector 03

Oil & Gas

Every weld has a 50-year liability. Every station, every kilometer of pipeline, every offshore module must be documented to a standard that will still hold up in court decades from now.

Oil and gas infrastructure creates quality obligations that extend far beyond construction. Every weld on a transmission pipeline, every coating application, every pressure test, every NDE result on an LNG train must remain traceable and defensible for the entire operational life of the asset, across regulatory reviews, pipeline integrity management programs, and potential incident investigations that may not occur for decades.

Our value: Quality systems that treat every inspection record as a long-term asset. Linked to specific weld locations, tagged to as-built drawings, structured for lifecycle integrity management, and integrated with pipeline operator asset management systems. We also deliver advanced pipeline integrity services including MMM (Metal Magnetic Memory) diagnostic technology for detecting stress concentrations and early-stage material degradation before failure.

Project Types We Serve
LNG Production & Regasification Facilities Gas Transmission Pipelines Oil Transmission Pipelines Pipeline Regulation & Metering Stations Compressor & Pump Stations Offshore Platforms & Subsea Modules Gas Distribution Networks Storage Terminals & Tank Farms Upstream Processing Facilities Pipeline Integrity & Damage Investigation
Reference projects: 3,600 km Gas Transmission Pipeline ($3-5B, Brazil), FortisBC Gas Infrastructure Programs (BC, Canada), WLNG Quality Management (BC), Pipeline Damage Investigation (Prince George, BC).

Sector 04

Infrastructure

Public money. Public scrutiny. Zero tolerance for quality shortcuts on assets that communities depend on for the next fifty years.

Municipal and regional infrastructure, bridges, water and wastewater systems, highways, transit, tunnels, and public utilities, operates under a unique quality imperative: public accountability. Every dollar spent is a public dollar. Every decision is subject to regulatory review. Every quality record must withstand not only technical audit but public, political, and, in some cases, legal scrutiny. Quality documentation on a bridge or a major water main is not just an engineering record. It is a long-term accountability instrument.

Our value: Quality governance systems designed from the ground up for public accountability. Documentation structures that are transparent, auditable, and accessible to the stakeholders who fund and regulate these assets, not only to the engineers who build them. Our systems are built to satisfy not just construction codes but the broader expectations of communities, municipalities, provincial agencies, and federal regulators.

Project Types We Serve
Bridges & Overpasses Water Transmission & Distribution Mains Wastewater Treatment Plants Highway & Roadway Construction Transit & Rail Infrastructure Tunnels & Underground Works Utility Corridors & Substations Public Buildings & Institutional Airports & Port Facilities Stormwater & Flood Control Systems
Reference project: Central Park Main No. 2 (British Columbia). Quality inspection services for municipal water main infrastructure, with complete quality documentation for public infrastructure accountability.

Sector 05

Shipbuilding

Classification-grade quality from hull lay-up through sea trials. Where a single undocumented weld can fail a survey and delay delivery by months.

Shipbuilding and marine construction operates under the oversight of classification societies (ABS, Lloyd's Register, DNV, Bureau Veritas) whose surveyors demand a level of documentation rigor, material traceability, and welding procedure compliance that few industries match. Hull structural welding, tank pressure testing, machinery installation, outfitting, and sea trial readiness all must align with classification rules that evolve vessel by vessel, yard by yard.

Our value: Quality governance built around classification society compliance from day one. WPS and PQR development aligned with ABS, AWS D1.1, and ASME IX. Visual and dimensional inspection of hull structures and critical welds. NDT program coordination across UT, RT, PT, and MT methods. Complete weld mapping, as-built documentation, and hull tank pressure testing records assembled progressively to support classification survey without last-minute reconstruction.

Project Types We Serve
New Vessel Construction (Tugboats, OSVs, AHTS) Ship Repair & Refit Programs Offshore Vessels & Specialized Units Hull Block Fabrication Classification Society Compliance Support Dry-Dock Quality Oversight Lloyd's Register Ship UTM Inspection (via partner) Sea Trial Readiness & Turnover
Reference project: SVITZER Tugboat Construction Program (4 vessels, $40-60M, Brazil). CWI welding inspection program for ocean-going tugboat construction, with WPS/PQR preparation, NDT monitoring, hull structure inspection, and classification compliance under ABS Part 2 Rules for Material and Welding, AWS D1.1, and ASME IX.
